The role of the health care provider is to offer service and care. Many times the care is over looked when treating a transgender person. It is usually done unintentionally. The best way to prevent this from happening is through knowledge. At TransHealth Coordinators we offer an extensive workshop with many faces of transgender to help train the whole staff on what the true needs of the transgender patient are.
The goal is to help infuse compassion, understanding and respect while giving great care to all patients.
These workshops are offered all over the country. These are a list of a few medical groups that we have worked with to offer this much needed training : Fulton County health, Planned Parenthood, St Joseph Hospitals, DeKalb County.
